Kajaria Ceramics PAT up 23% at Rs 6.19 cr

KCL has clocked a 23 per cent increase in its PAT in Q1 FY 07 at Rs 6.19 crore, while income from operations shot up by 38 per cent at Rs 91.81 crore as against Rs 66.67-crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

MUMBAI: Ceramic tile manufacturer Kajaria Ceramics Limited (KCL) has clocked a 23 per cent increase in its PAT in Q1 FY 07 at Rs 6.19 crore, while income from operations shot up by 38 per cent at Rs 91.81 crore as against Rs 66.67-crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
The company had grossed a turnover of Rs 351.79 crore and a PAT of Rs 28.17 crore in FY 06, KCL said in a release on Thursday.
Commenting on the results, Ashok Kajaria, Chairman and Managing Director of the company, said: "our brown field expansion for 8.4 million capacity is being implemented as per schedule and is likely to go on stream by September 2006. The boom in the housing and infrastructure sectors will help us consolidate our position in the industry."
