Greenlam Industries on Wednesday announced that it is making an investment of Rs 1,147 crore in Andhra Pradesh's Naidupeta to set up high-pressure laminate, particle board manufacturing facility.

As per the agreement, N Chandrababu Naidu-led government of Andhra Pradesh will provide incentives of Rs 329 crore, more than 30% of project cost

The facility that will produce 7 million sheets of high pressure laminate and 2.9 lakh cubic meters of wood based particle board sheets each year.


Greenlam is planning to set up a state-of-art technologically advanced Continuous Press System from Diffenbacher, GmBH, Germany. Entire machinery and equipment are proposed to adhere to the global standards of excellence in manufacturing, safety and environment. this will be the only plant utilising german continuous press system in South India.

The Indian engineered wood market is growing, driven by factors such as rising living standards and increased consumer expenditure on home decor items. The India home decor market was estimated USD 33.45 Bn in 2023 and is expected to reach USD 40.98 Bn by 2028, growing at a CAGR of 4.14% from 2023-28.
