Bilpower close to bagging mega orders

Bilpower, which is one of the largest manufacturers of CRGO laminations, is quite close to getting orders from a few state electricity boards. According to market buzz, the company is in the final stages of receiving orders from states like Gujarat, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu.

A company official, when contacted, said they were close to striking deals with a couple of state electricity boards.

While the company has manufacturing plants at Baroda, Silvassa and Roorkee, it is also setting up a motor stamping unit at Wada, Maharashtra, with an investment of Rs 60 crore.

The trial production has begun at the Wada plant. The company is also in the process of increasing its production capacity. On BSE, the stock gained marginal ground on Tuesday to close at Rs 183.60.
