Sanjay Singh joins ITC Paperboards corporate management committee

KOLKATA: Sanjay Singh, who leads the ITC Paperboards, paper and packaging business at conglomerate ITC Ltd, has joined the company’s corporate management committee, the highest decision making unit. This comes after Sanjiv Puri became the head of the committee on Sunday after he was elevated as the chief executive officer of the company.

The ten member committee takes decisions on all future and strategic plans of ITC. Earlier, the committee was headed by chairman YC Deveshwar who too retired from his retired role on Sunday and became the non-executive chairman.

Singh, is the divisional chief executive of paperboards, specialty papers division and also oversees the packaging and printing business. Prior to this, he was the chief operating officer of the paperboards business. An IIT Kanpur alumnus, Singh joined ITC as a management trainee in 1977.
