German packaging and bottling machine manufacturer Krones AG has signed up with Karnataka proposing to invest in Kolar district.

The company signed up with the industries department in the presence of Industries Minister MB Patil in Germany. The company, as per the MoU, would set up its manufacturing unit at Vemagal industrial park in Kolar district.

The Karnataka team also held talks with Krones to set up ancillary units. The German multinational, according to an official press release, acknowledged Karnataka’s business-friendly climate.


The Germany roadshow is part of Karnataka’s global outreach to attract investments and partnerships in the run up to Invest Karnataka 2025, the state’s flagship Global Investors Meet.

The signing of the MoU with Krones is a testament to Karnataka’s success in engaging international investors, Minister Patil said.
