Vedanta names Pallavi Joshi Bakhru as new Group Head Taxation

MUMBAI: Billionaire Anil Agarwal-led Vedanta named Pallavi Joshi Bakhru as senior vice president and group head taxation, where she will oversee group taxation covering both direct and indirect tax functions.

Bakhru joins the natural resources conglomerate from Grant Thornton India, where she was a partner and head of tax with focus on inbound and outbound structuring advisory including regulatory compliance for both Indian and foreign investors.

Bakhru is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of experience in tax advisory and compliance, Vedanta said in a statement.
