Ved Prakash appointed CMD of MMTC

NEW DELHI: State-run mineral trading firm MMTC Ltd today appointed Ved Prakash as its Chairman and Managing Director.

Prakash, who was Director (Marketing) in the mineral trading company, has been given the additional charge of CMD with effect from December 31, 2014, MMTC said in a filing to the BSE.

D S Dhesi, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Commerce & Industry relinquished the charge of CMD, MMTC Ltd on December 30, 2014.

Prakash (54) is an alumnus of IIT Delhi and IIM Kolkata and has been with MMTC for over 24 years in various departments, including international trade, corporate planning and domestic marketing.
