Vasundhara Raje and Narendra Singh Tomar discuss mines issues in Rajasthan

JAIPUR: Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today discussed mines related issues with the Union Mines Minister Narendra Singh Tomar at her office here.

Tomar during his visit to the city called on Raje and discussed several issues pertaining to mines in the state, an official release said.

Raje raised the issue of environmental clearance made mandatory for all mining areas by the National Green Tribunal and told the minister that this has created a closer like situation for 33,000 mines in the state and sought his intervention.

Raje was presented a detailed report of mining sector of Rajasthan by the mines ministry.

The minister assured full cooperation by his ministry to the state on concerning matters.

The state mines minister Raj Kumar Rinwa, secretary of the mines ministry Balvinder Kumar and other officials were present during the meeting.
