Tata Metaliks Mar quarter net profit at Rs 15.4 cr

MUMBAI: Tata Metaliks posted a net profit of Rs 15.39 crore for quarter ended March 31, 2007 as against Rs 12.13 crore in the corresponding period in previous fiscal.

Total income of the Tata group company was at Rs 212.74 crore in January-March 2007 as against Rs 142.35 crore for the corresponding period in 2006, Tata Metaliks informed the BSE.

The company said the figures for the current quarter, nine months and 2006-07 include the figures pertaining to the Redi plant which was acquired on January 20, 2006.

Accordingly, the figures of the current period are not comparable with the figures of the corresponding quarter, nine months and year ended March 31, 2006.

Meanwhile, the Board of Directors of the company also recommended a dividend of 60 per cent for the year 2006-07.

Shares of Tata Metaliks closed at Rs 115.55, up 10.31 per cent or nearly eleven rupees on the BSE.
