Saria strengthened at steel market on pick-up in construction activity

NEW DELHI: Saria strengthened by Rs 1,000 per tonne today at the steel market in the national capital on pick-up in construction activity.

Saria Kamdhenu 8-mm, 10-mm, 12-mm and 16-25 mm prices were up by Rs 1,000 each at Rs 46,300, Rs 45,800, Rs 43,400 and Rs 44,100 per tonne, respectively.

Traders said absence of worthwhile activity from construction and engineering units mainly kept prices at previous levels.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per tonne): Saria Kamdhenu: 8-mm Rs 46,300, 10-mm Rs 45,800, 12-mm Rs 43,400, 16-25 mm Rs 44,100.

Amba Shakti (TMT): 8-mm Rs 45,700, 10-mm Rs 43,400, 12-mm, Rs 42,400, 16-25 mm Rs 42,500.
