Saria rises on better offtake

Wholesale saria prices moved up by Rs.500 per tonne in the national capital on increased offtake by stockists.

NEW DELHI: Wholesale saria prices moved up by Rs.500 per tonne in the national capital on increased offtake by stockists.

In the saria section, Kamdhenu 8-mm,10-mm and 12-mm were traded higher by Rs.500 each at Rs.45,500, Rs.44,500 and Rs.43,300 per tonne respectively.

Similarly, 16-25-mm and 25-32-mm gained Rs.500 each at Rs 45,000 and Rs.45,000 per tone respectively.

Traders said increased offtake by stockists mainly pushed up saria prices.

Following were Friday's quotations in Rs per tonne: CTD saria (kamdhenu) 8-mm, 45,500, 10-mm, 44,500, 12-mm 43,300, 16-25 mm 45,000 and 25-32mm Rs 45,000.

Rathi tor steel : 8-mm 44,500, 10-mm 44,500, 12-mm 43,900, 16-20 mm 44,300 and 25-32 mm 44,300.
