NMDC gets 3 new non-official independent directors

State-run miner NMDC announced the appointment of three non-official independent directors on its board for three years.

NEW DELHI: State-run miner NMDC today announced the appointment of three non-official independent directors on its board for three years.

"Pradip Bhargava, Shymal K Sarkar and S M Nigam have been appointed as non-official independent directors on the board of NMDC Ltd for a period of three years with effect from November 27, 2015 vide Ministry of Steel order dated November 27," the company said in a regulatory filing.

The company had last month informed BSE about the appointment of A K Srivastava, Bhagwati Mahesh Baldewa and Rajesh Mangal as non-official independent directors for a period of three years with effect from November 13.

According to the NMDC website, it produces about 30 million tonnes of iron ore per annum.

It has set a turnover target of Rs 13,500 crore for the current fiscal, as per a pact signed with the government in which it has also set a production target of 35 million tonnes for the current fiscal.
