Nalco to send team to Middle-East to conduct studies on upstream, downstream industries

Nalco's move is aimed at introducing global best practices in upstream and downstream aluminium industries in its proposed new venture to set up an Aluminium Park at Angul in Odisha, which will also boost ancillary industries in the state.

KOLKATA: National Aluminium Company ( Nalco) is planning to send a team to the Middle-East to study world-class practices in the field of upstream and downstream industries.

Nalco's move is aimed at introducing global best practices in upstream and downstream aluminium industries in its proposed new venture to set up an Aluminium Park at Angul in Odisha, which will also boost ancillary industries in the state.

“Nalco is taking a lead in many issues pertaining to the industrial development of the state. The company is also ready to take a call for quality up-gradation of the ancillary industries,” said T K Chand, chairman and managing director of Nalco said at an event organised by the Utkal Chamber in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.
