Nalco gives Rs 83.34 crore dividend cheque to government

During the second quarter of the current fiscal, Nalco reported Rs 342 crore net profit against Rs 179 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal.

NEW DELHI: State-run aluminium maker Nalco today handed over the final dividend cheque of Rs 83.34 crore to the government for 2013-14 year.

The company had declared a total dividend of Rs 386.59 crore, 30 per cent of the paid-up capital for the financial year 2013-14. This includes government's share of Rs 313.23 crore, an official statement said.

Government owns 80.93 per cent stake in Nalco. Nalco Chairman and Managing Director Ansuman Das handed over the cheque for final dividend to Narendra Singh Tomar, Minister of Mines and Steel here.
