MMTC pays Rs 24.83 cr dividend to govt for 2011-12

State-run trading firm MMTC today said it has paid Rs 24.83 crore to the government for 2011-12 fiscal.

NEW DELHI: State-run trading firm MMTC today said it has paid Rs 24.83 crore dividend to the government for 2011-12 fiscal.

Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma received the cheque containing the dividend amount from MMTC CMD D S Dhesi.

MMTC in its annual general meeting on September 28 had declared dividend pay out of 25 per cent for 2011-12 on its paid up equity capital.

The company said in a statement that it has concluded 2011-12 by achieving a turnover of Rs 65,929 crore which includes exports of Rs 2,045 crore, imports of Rs 61,042 crore and domestic trade of Rs 2,842 crore.
