MECL signs MoU with Mines Ministry for 3,25,000 metre drilling
Mineral Exploration Corporation signs a memorandum of understanding with the Mines Ministry for carrying 3,25,000 metre exploratory drilling in 2013-14.
Continuing with the improvement in physical and financial performance of the company, Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited (MECL) has committed to carrying out 3,25,000 metre of exploratory drilling and 9150 metre of mining work," an official statement said here today.
"The physical and financial parameters have been increased substantially (10 per cent) from the previous year i.e. 2012-13 during which it is likely to achieve all time high gross revenue and physical targets during the last 22 years," the statement said.
MECL has also proposed an ambitious R&D Programme for Mapping of Base Metal deposit through Geo-physical survey and drilling fluid technology.
Apart from this, MECL will also carry out Energy Management, Carbon Management and Material & Natural Resource Management under sustainable development programme, the statement added.
In addition, it has also agreed to continue Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the areas nearby its projects.
