Koda assures SAIL of iron ore

JAMSHEDPUR: Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda on Saturday assured Steel Authority of India of providing iron ore according to its requirement for the proposed expansion plan in Bokaro.
The expansion plan of SAIL will not hamper for the raw material as the government assure them of fulfilling their (SAIL's) requirement, Koda said when asked about the legal tussle between the state government and SAIL over the Chiria iron mine in West Singhbhum district.
The Chief Minister, however, was non-committal on Chiria mines.
Koda was in the steel city to participate in a few functions.
Referring to the series of memoranda of understanding signed between the prospective investors and the state government, the Chief Minister said all those players, including Mittals, Essar, Jindals have shown their keen interest afresh to invest in Jharkhand.
