Hindustan Zinc cuts zinc, lead prices
Leading metal producer Hindustan Zinc on Thursday said it has reduced prices of zinc and lead by Rs 2,800 a tonne and Rs 3,400 per tonne, respectively.
Zinc, used for producing galvanised steel, alloys, would be available at Rs 76,700 a tonne, while lead, used in batteries, rubber and paint industries, would cost Rs 90,200 a tonne, the company said adding that the price revision is effective from today.
Shares of Hindustan Zinc closed at Rs 264.75, down 10.03 per cent in the late afternoon session on the BSE.
