Hindustan Copper hikes product prices by over 3% for January
State-owned Hindustan Copper has increased prices of all its products for the current month by over 3 per cent.
According to a price circular posted on the company's website, Hindustan Copper has increased the price of copper cathode (cut) by 3.18 per cent to Rs 4,72,976 per tonne, while price of copper cathode (full) has been hiked by 3.20 per cent to Rs 4,71,476 per tonne.
The company has also increased prices of its other products like CC Rod of 11 mm length by over 3 per cent for January, the circular said.
The firm, which has kept a target of clocking Rs 1,540 crore turnover in the current fiscal, is among the largest copper producers in the country.
It decides the monthly price depending upon the movements at London Metal Exchange and the dollar-rupee exchange rate of the previous month.
Shares of the company closed today at Rs 144.95 apiece on the BSE, up 0.28 per cent from its previous close.
