Govt invites global mining players to India Mining Week 2026

Govt has invited the global mining community to participate in India Mining Week 2026 in November, seeking greater international collaboration, investment and expertise to build a more innovative and sustainable mining sector.

Coal Additional Secretary Rupinder Brar said India looks forward to the ideas, experience and support of partners from across the world as the country’s mining and minerals sector takes on a larger role in supporting economic growth.

Speaking at the 'India Mining: Global Connect' -- an international outreach interaction that brought together representatives of diplomatic missions from 19 countries to discuss opportunities for greater international participation and collaboration in India's mining and minerals sector -- Brar said as India advances as the world's fourth-largest economy, the mining and minerals sector has a significant role to play in supporting the country's growth and global ambitions.

With India Mining Week 2026 coming up in November, she invited the global mining community to come together, exchange ideas, share expertise and explore opportunities for collaboration, the coal ministry said in a statement.

India Mining Week in November

India Mining Week 2026, described as the country’s largest conference-cum-exhibition for the mining and minerals sector, will be held from November 15 to 17 at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi.

The event is being organised by the Ministry of Coal and Ministry of Mines in association with the mining industry.

The ‘India Mining: Global Connect’ interaction was organised as part of the build-up to the event. Representatives from the participating diplomatic missions and stakeholders from the mining and minerals ecosystem discussed opportunities for greater country-level engagement.

Minister of State for Coal and Mines Satish Chandra Dubey called for greater participation from the global mining community.

He urged partner countries to facilitate the participation of leading mining companies, major investors and prominent delegates at India Mining Week, adding that such engagement would create opportunities for stronger cooperation in the mining and minerals sector.
