Environment panel clears terms for ore plant: Deccan Gold

State level EAC at Karnataka has already granted TOR for the proposed project, it said adding it has already commenced detailed EIA studies.

NEW DELHI: Deccan Gold Mines Ltd ( DGML) today said an environment ministry panel has approved the terms of reference for its proposed 2000 tonne per day Ganjaur Gold Ore processing plant in Karnataka.

"DGML is pleased to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary i.e, Deccan Exploration Services Pvt Ltd (DESPL) has been granted the TOR (Terms of Reference) for the proposed 2000 tpd Ganajur Gold Ore Processing Plant by the Expert Appraisal Committee ( EAC) constituted by the MoEF (Ministry of Environment and Forests)," the company said in a filing to the BSE.

The EAC has prescribed additional terms of reference for preparing a detailed Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)/ Environmental Management Plan Report report, it said.
