Meanwhile, the coal ministry has filed a petition in the Supreme Court to transfer all cases related to coal block auction and coal ordinance be transferred to the apex court.
GVK had on Monday approached the Delhi High court citing better valuation for its mining infrastructure deployed in Tokisud North coal block in Jharkhand.
The blocks is one of the 23 mines that are being auctioned by the government. The block is expected to attract good number of bidders. The last day for submitting technical bids for these blocks expired at 1200 hrs on Tuesday while the ministry is opening the bids for technical evaluation.
