Indian Bureau of Mines, under the Union Mines Ministry has also issued an advisory to owners and managers of all underground metalliferous mines for safety of mine workers from winding failures.
An official statement said the preliminary enquiry report will be submitted a week.

“The advisory gives measures to be followed to ensure safety of miners in underground mines alongwith directions issued by DGMS,” the statement said.
This advisory covers measures to be taken to ensure safety of hoisting equipment like cage, winder, headgear, ropes as well as periodical audit, inspection, and use of modern-day technology in maintenance.
