CDE Asia Ltd plant comes up in Howrah

KOLKATA: Mining equipment manufacturer, CDE Asia Limited on Wednesday inaugurated its first manufacturing facility in India at Dhulagarh here.
The company is planning to invest another Rs 250 crore within the next three years at the newly set up Dhulagarh plant in Howrah district, CDE Asia Chief Executive Manish Bhartia said.
The facility would also cater to the Asia Pacific and South-East Asian countries.
A joint venture between UK's CDE Ireland and local company Torsa Machines, CDE India has recently got a Rs 85 crore turnkey sand washing project in Qatar, Bhartia said.
CDE Asia Limited is a Rs 50 crore venture in manufacturing mineral production systems and industrial water treatment and filtration units.
The company also deals in turnkey mineral plant, mineral classification plant and dust washing solutions, CDE sources said.
Inaugurating the facility, British Deputy High Commissioner Simon Wilson expressed confidence that with the Indian economy booming there would be more such JVs between Indian and British companies.
