CCL records highest-ever coal production and dispatch
The Central Coalfields Ltd (CCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Ltd and the first Mini Ratna company of Jharkhand.
"The CCL has observed the Financial Year 2012-13 as Dispatch Year. The company has dispatched 53 million tonne (MT), which is 4.959 MT more than the last financial year, registering 10.3 per cent of growth," a CCL release said.
In the previous fiscal, the company dispatched 48.041 MT. In the beginning of financial year 2012-13, the coal stock of CCL was 16.327 MT, which was liquidated to 4.945 MT by March 31, 2013 and left with coal stock of 11.382 MT presently, the release said.
Similarly, the company has registered 8 per cent of growth in wagon loading in Financial year 2012-13.
The coal production was 48.1 MT in FY 2012-13 against 48 MT last fiscal 2011-12, the release said.
Outlining its priority, the release said: "Overall uplift of villagers, downtrodden and workforce associated with company."
Stating that the company has been carrying out various CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities in Ranchi and its command areas, the release said.
A total of 169 free health camps were organised in its command areas and 21,793 people benefitted from these camps in FY 2012-13, the release said.
In addition to these health camps, 45,179 people were benefitted from CSR dispensaries, situated in command areas of the company, it said.
