Bhagyanagar Metals forays into new sector

Bhagyanagar Metals Limited on Wednesday said it will venture into the generation of non-conventional energy and will initially set up a wind mill with a generation capacity of 2.5 MW in Karnataka.

MUMBAI: Bhagyanagar Metals Limited on Wednesday said it will venture into the generation of non-conventional energy and will initially set up a wind mill with a generation capacity of 2.5 MW in Karnataka.
The company would be initially setting up a 2.5 MW project at Kappatuguda, Gadag District, Karnataka and would later on enhance the generation capacity to 10 MW in a phased manner, the company informed the National Stock Exchange.
The project would be commissioned by September 25, while the related equipment have been purchased from Suzlon Energy Ltd, Pune, it added.
The company also purchased 6.22 acres of land at Shamshabad, Hyderabad, for development of a hotel project, it said.
The shares of the company were trading at Rs 61.60, down 0.88 per cent on the National Stock Exchange.
