DHANBAD: Union Coal Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal today said the Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) would soon get rid of the tag of being a sick company.

"Within six months the BCCL will be out of BIFR ( Board of Industrial and Financial Reconstruction)," Jaiswal said as the coal subsidiary had earned profits last fiscal and doing well at the start of the first quarter to reach its target.

Jaiswal, who was here to review the performance of the BCCL, said he was satisfied with the BCCL's work.

"BCCL's performance is good. But we should not be complacent, and make this profit a launching pad for more profits," he added.
