Anuradha Dutt appointed as additional director to board of Vedanta

Anuradha Dutt, an eminent lawyer, has been appointed as an additional independent director to the board of Vedanta Limited. The appointment is subject to the approval of the shareholders of the company which was formerly known as Sesa Sterlite Limited. With the is appointment the board of Vedanta Limited will now comprise of eight directors. This include four independent directors (including two women directors) and four whole-time directors, with Navin Agarwal as the executive chairman of the company.

Anuradha Dutt earned her LL.M. from the Columbia University, New York, USA, her LL.B. from the University of Delhi after completing her undergraduate degree in B.A. (Honours) History from St. Stephens’ College, University of Delhi. A prominent member of the legal community in India, Dutta has three decades of experience and significant contribution to the field of law.
