Wilo plans Rs 150-cr expansion

Mather and Platt Pumps (M+P), the Indian subsidiary of the German pumps major, Wilo, is expanding its operation across the country and is investing Rs 150 crore at its two major sites - Pune and Kolhapur.

PUNE: Mather and Platt Pumps (M+P), the Indian subsidiary of the German pumps major, Wilo, is expanding its operation across the country and is investing Rs 150 crore at its two major sites — Pune and Kolhapur.

In April, M+P will open a new, Rs 100-crore plant in Kolhapur for manufacturing the Wilo range of pumps for the domestic market and the Mather and Platt range for Wilo’s global requirements.

With the start of production at Kolhapur, the existing M+P plant at Chinchwad, near Pune, will focus on the manufacture of engineered products, M+P MD RP Bhatia said.
