Venkat Krishnapur elevated as head of Intel Security’s India engineering centre

NEW DELHI: Intel Security Group ( ISecG) has elevated Venkat Krishnapur to the post of head of India engineering centre, replacing Anand Prahlad who has left the company.

Krishnapur, who was vice-president of engineering for the company’s consumer business unit in Bangalore, will now lead the company’s R&D and innovation effort in the country, ISecG said in a statement on Thursday. Besides leading a team of over 1,000 R&D engineers, he will continue to serve as head of consumer engineering at ISecG India, it added.

An MTech from IIT, Madras, Krishnapur joined Intel Security (earlier McAfee) in 2003.
