VA Tech Wabag gets Rs 217-crore order

The firm is operating and maintaining five sewage water treatment plants for BWSSB and treating 488 MLD waste water for the Southern city.

NEW DELHI: Waste water management company VA Tech Wabag today said it has secured a Rs 217 crore order from Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB).

"The order comprises Rs 194 crore towards construction of 60 million litres per day (MLD) waste water treatment plant at K&C Valley with power generation and Rs 23 crore towards operation and maintenance for a period of seven years," VA Tech Wabag said in a BSE filing.

The firm is operating and maintaining five sewage water treatment plants for BWSSB and treating 488 MLD waste water for the Southern city.

"We are delighted to get this repeat order from BWSSB which is one of our key clients in municipal sector," company Managing Director Rajiv Mittal said.

VA Tech Wabag's scrips were trading at Rs 529 apiece, up 1.68 per cent in the BSE over the previous closing.
