US-engineering company Black & Veatch appoints Anand Pattani to head India operations

"India is one of the world’s fastest growing infrastructure markets in the world. We expect to have 1,500 professionals in India in the next five years," said Pattani.

MUMBAI: US-headquartered engineering, procurement and construction service provider Black and Veatch has appointed Anand Pattani as managing director for the company’s operations in India.

Prior to this, Pattani served as the company’s vice president and region director for Europe/Middle East/India/Africa (EMEIA), for the company’s power generation business. Pattani has also been project director for infrastructure schemes in India, Europe, the Middle East, South Africa and the US.

"India is an integral part of our growth plans. Anand’s global expertise, knowledge of the company and proven background allow us to build on our strong momentum in India," said Dean Oskvig, President – Energy Business, Black & Veatch.

Based in Mumbai, Pattani will spearhead company’s business initiatives in India.

In the last 18 months, Black & Veatch has added nearly 200 professionals in India; to work across the company’s energy, telecom and water portfolio. It has a total of 591 professionals in Mumbai, Pune and New Delhi.
