TVEPL may double product sales in current fiscal

MANGALORE: Construction equipment manufacturer, Terex Vectra Equipment Private Limited (TVEPL) today said the company is planning to double its product sales during the current fiscal.
The firm is looking at selling about 1700 machines during the current fiscal compared to 968 backhoew machines and skid steer loaders sold in the previous fiscal, company's General Manager Amit Sood told a news conference here.
The firm hopes to move to the number two slot by 2009, he said.
The firm, a 50-50 joint venture of Terex Corporation USA and Vectra Limited, markets over 50 well-known brands which cover a broad range of equipment including those used in construction, infrastructure, mining, shipping and transportation.
Terex Vectra has 35 dealerships, including three in Karnataka. The firm, which reported a turnover of Rs 154 crore last fiscal, is looking at Rs 300 crore in the coming fiscal, Sood said.
