Shrachi’s BTL EPC bags Rs 228 crore order from BHEL for BIFPCL

The project comprises of design, engineering, manufacturing supply, erection and commissioning, handing over as well as operation and maintenance of a complete conveyor package for 2 X 660 MW power plant for BIFPCL in Bangladesh.

KOLKATA: Kolkata-based Shrachi-subsidiary BTL EPC Ltd, an engineering procurement construction, has recently bagged a Rs 228 crore turnkey order from Bangladesh India Friendship Power Company Ltd (BIFPCL).

The project comprises of design, engineering, manufacturing supply, erection and commissioning, handing over as well as operation and maintenance of a complete conveyor package for 2 X 660 MW power plant for BIFPCL in Bangladesh.

Maitree Super Thermal Power Project is a coal-fired power station at Rampal Upazila of Bagerhat District at Khulna in Bangladesh. It is a 50:50 joint venture between India's NTPC and Bangladesh's Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB). BTL EPC with this 14 km long conveyor package is all set to foray the foreign soil.


BTL EPC Ltd is a multidisciplinary group with verticals as diverse as EPC, including manufacturing of highly engineered products and process equipment, contracting across process industries, farm equipment, bio-toilets and others.
