Rajasthan govt, SVP International Group enter agreement for projects in aviation, defence and textile sectors

The investment is expected to generate employment for more than 4000 people, the Rajasthan government said in a statement.

New Delhi: The Rajasthan government has entered into an agreement with SVP International Group for the development of facilities related to the aviation, defence and textile sectors. An investment of Rs 4,000 crore is estimated in these sectors.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the state government and the private company on Wednesday.

The investment is expected to generate employment for more than 4000 people, the Rajasthan government said in a statement.


Representatives from the SVP International Group on Wednesday made a presentation at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot wherein Industries Minister Prasadi Lal Meena, state minister for Industries Arjun Singh Bamaniya, Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary Finance, Principal Secretary Industries, and other senior officials were present.

The company has proposed to develop a project for defence and aerospace including aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facilities, an aviation academy and a project related to textile. The projects are proposed to be developed at a mutually agreed location in the state, the statement added.

The state government has directed for constitution of a committee under the chairmanship of principal secretary, industries for speedy implementation of the projects.
