Punj subsi to set up fluoride complex
Punj Lloyd's subsidiary Simon Carves to set up complex for production of fluoride in Abu Dhabi.

NEW DELHI: Simon Carves Ltd, a subsidiary of Punj Lloyd, plans to set up a complex for production of fluoride in Abu Dhabi and has signed an agreement with Gulf Fluor establishment of a plant for the project.
The complex would be built as part of the second phase of industrial city of Abu Dhabi (ICADII), Punj Lloyd said in a release here on Friday.
The zone will have separate plants for production of anhydrous hydrofluoric acid (AHF) and aluminium fluoride (AIF3), it said.
The complex, scheduled for completion in 2009, will initially have an annual capacity of 60,000 tons of AIF3 and 10,0000 tons of AIF.
Swiss company Buss Chem Tech AG will provide the technology and critical equipment for the plant.
