Punj Lloyd wins Rs 477 crores Ennore LNG Tankage Project from Mitsubishi

The order backlog is the value of unexecuted orders on March 31, 2015 plus new orders received after that date.

MUMBAI: Punj Lloyd Group has bagged an order worth Rs 477 crores for Ennore LNG tankage project from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries of Japan, the engineering and construction company said Monday.

The scope of work entails confirmatory geotechnical investigation, early earth works, construction of two 180,000 cubic metre capacity full containment LNG Tanks on elevated piled foundation for LNG import, storage and re-gasification terminal project of Indian Oil Corporation at Ennore port in Tamil Nadu, India. The LNG imported to the Ennore terminal will be used by utility company power generation plants as an alternative fuel and as feedstock by fertiliser plants.

The project is scheduled to be completed in 33 months.

With this win, Punj Lloyd Group’s order backlog is Rs 22,171 crores. The order backlog is the value of unexecuted orders on March 31, 2015 plus new orders received after that date.
