Punj Lloyd bags orders worth Rs 488 crore; shares up over 6%
Punj Lloyd has bagged orders worth Rs 488 crore for projects in the power sector, including its first transmission and distribution project, the company said Wednesday.
Reacting to the order win, shares of the company were trading at Rs 26.85 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, up 6.8% from Tuesday.
Punj Lloyd said that it won two power transmission and distribution projects for rural electrification of districts in Odisha – Jajpur, Khorda and Ganjam under the Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Vidyutikaran Yojna -12th Plan.
The company has also won its first power project from BHEL for the civil, structural and architectural work of the non-plant works and raw water reservoir, roads and drains at the 800 mw-Kothagudem Thermal Power Project in Khammam District, Telangana.
The Group’s order backlog stands at Rs. 21,466 crore. The order backlog is the value of unexecuted orders on June 30, 2015 plus new orders received after that date.
