Patel Engineering Ltd has bagged single largest irrigation project in India, the Pranahita-Chevella Lift Irrigation- Package 6 valued at Rs 3,859 crore form Andhra Pradesh Government in consortium with BHEL and Navyuga Construction.

MUMBAI: Patel Engineering Ltd has bagged single largest irrigation project in India, the Pranahita-Chevella Lift Irrigation- Package 6 valued at Rs 3,859 crore form Andhra Pradesh Government in consortium with BHEL and Navyuga Construction.
The scheme will divert 160 TMC of water from river Pranahita to irrigate an area of 12,20,000 acres in the drought prone areas of the Telangana region.
The mammoth project is all inclusive and involves investigation, designing, construction and maintenance of approach channels, tunnels, pumps houses, electro mechanical and pipe line works. The project will be commissioned in 48 months.
The company shares ended down 1.86 per cent to Rs 163.35 on BSE.
