Patel Engg bags Rs 696 cr order from AP govt

MUMBAI: Patel Engineering on Friday said it has bagged orders worth Rs 695.57 crore from the Andhra Pradesh state government for construction-related works at the Krishna delta system.

The project is the part of the state government's programme to boost irrigation potential on major river delta systems, Patel Engineering said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The scope of work includes modernisation of the river delta system including canals, channels and their dis-tributaries on engineering-procurement-and-construction basis.

The projects are expected to be completed in three years, the filing said. Shares of Patel Engineering were trading at Rs 368.30, up 4.53 per cent in the late afternoon trade on the BSE.
