VARANASI: An eight-member parliamentary standing committee on railways reviewed the passenger facilities and progress at the locomotive manufacturing unit here.
The committee, led by Chairman Baudeb Acharia, held a meeting with of senior railway officials at the Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW) in Manduadeeh area yesterday, official sources said, adding the meeting lasted for about three hours.
The members also visited the office of the north eastern railways here to review passenger facilities.
The committee included its Chairman Manik Singh, C H Vidyashankar, Gopal Vyas, Isam Singh, A Elavarasan, Tarni Kanta Roy and Lalit Kishore Chaturvedi.
