Norfolk Group inaugurates new Indian headquarters
Australian-based integrated engineering specialist, Norfolk Group, has inaugurated its new Indian headquarters in Gurgaon, near New Delhi.
Norfolk entered the Indian market in 2007 through Norfolk Mechanical India, a provider of specialised heating, ventilation and air conditioning ( HVAC) services.
According to Norfolk Group Managing Director, Glenn Wallace, the company is advancing plans to grow its presence in the Indian market to build on its capability to self deliver HVAC services and expand its offering to deliver electrical and fire services.
“Norfolk Group is committed to the Indian market, which we believe offers significant growth opportunities. We have already enjoyed success in India and now count a number of large local and multi-national companies as our customers.
“We have invested in developing the right team with the right capabilities, including design, construction, installation, maintenance and systems upgrading, to ensure we can provide a world-class and integrated service offering.
“We are seeing significant demand from a range of companies for our services, in particular pharmaceutical and technology companies, along with ongoing strong demand from high-grade commercial and industrial operators.
“Our new Indian headquarters, along with our recent investment in staff recruitment, underlines our commitment to the Indian market which we believe offers exciting opportunities for growth.”
The company recently appointed Anup Tandon as its new Country Managing Director and Reena Dahiya as Corporate Services Director. Mr Tandon has 28 years’ experience in the HVAC industry. Ms Dahiya has relocated from Norfolk Group’s Melbourne business and will be responsible for ensuring Norfolk Group’s market-leading internal infrastructure and service delivery models are replicated at the Indian subsidiary.
Norfolk Mechanical India has a workforce of 250 spread across three regional hubs in Gurgaon, Mumbai and Bangalore, along with six branch offices in Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Bhopal and Surat.
