Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics clocks Rs 6,010 crore turnover in FY13

BANGALORE: Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) today said it has clocked a record Rs 6,010 crore turnover in 2012-13 fiscal.

BEL registered a growth of 5 per cent over the turnover of Rs 5,704 crore during 2011-12, the company said in a statement announcing its provisional figures.

It has achieved exports of USD 35 million, it added. With a healthy order book of around Rs 25,000 crore, the company is all set to continue its good run in the next financial year, the statement said.

In 2012-13, BEL unveiled as many as 10 new products in the areas of Radar and Fire Control, Sonars, Electronic Warfare, Communication, Tank Electronics and Electro Optics.

Some significant orders executed during the year include Akash Weapon System, Radar and Fire Control Systems, National Command Control Communication & Intelligence (NC3I), National Population Register (NPR) and Passive Night Vision Devices, statement said.
