Matsushita expects India sales to triple by 2010

Matsushita Electric says it expects sales in India will become triple to $1 billion by 2010.

Matsushita Electric Industrial Co, the world's largest consumer-electronics maker, said sales in India will more than triple to $1 billion by 2010.

The company, which had local sales of $300 million in 2006, plans to announce an investment in the South Asian nation in a month, Yukiharu Kubota, associate director of the Osaka, Japan- based company, told reporters in Mumbai on Tuesday.
