L&T, Rolls-Royce ink pact to make parts for light water nuke reactors

MUMBAI: Larsen & Toubro (L&T), the country’s largest engineering company, has signed a preliminary agreement with British-engine maker Rolls-Royce to make components and provide services for light water nuclear reactors globally. (Watch)

L&T manufactures light water reactors in India and now wants to expand its reach as more than 60% of civil nuclear power plants use these reactors globally. “Our collaboration with Rolls-Royce will increase our global presence in the sector,” said MV Kotwal, senior executive vice-president and a director of L&T.
