L&T launches new B2B e-commerce platform SuFin

Infrastructure conglomerate Larsen & Toubro on Monday announced the launch of its new e-commerce platform L&T-SuFin which will sell business-to-business (B2B) industrial products and services.

The platform will sell a selection of industrial products across over 40 categories as well as financing and logistics support. It will ensure last-mile delivery to over 15,000 pin codes, the company said.

There was a need to digitalise the supply chains of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to improve business efficiency and thus India’s global competitiveness, SN Subrahmanyan, the managing director of L&T said, explaining the rationale behind the company’s new venture.


“We are confident about L&T-SuFin transforming the B2B marketplace for industrial products. Making it easily accessible, convenient, and transparent, even for the customers in and beyond tier-1 and tier-2 cities, thereby enabling a level playing field and inclusive growth for all businesses,” Subrahmanyan said in a press statement.

The platform will provide working capital to MSMEs from multiple banks and other financial institutions. It will also provide an online transaction facility for trading products and enabling services with a payment and settlement mechanism, helping MSMEs compete with their newer digital-native competitors, L&T said.
