L&T bags various orders in India and overseas

MUMBAI: Larsen & Toubro’s construction division has won order worth a total of Rs 1,000- Rs 2,500 crore, the engineering conglomerate said Wednesday.

These orders are from different sectors, spread across different states.

The company bagged orders for power transmission and distribution in Maharahstra and also orders in the overseas market. In Maharashtra, the company was empaneled and it entered a rate contract to provide off-grid direct current solar photovoltaic water pumping systems with standalone lighting systems for farmers in the Aurangabad, Nashik and Pune revenue divisions. These systems will have provision for mobile charging, transfer of automated meter reading and water discharge reading data.


In the UAE, the company received an order for the design, supply and construction of a 132kV substation project with associated 132kV cabling works from one of the government utilities. The company also bagged additional orders from ongoing projects in the Middle East.

In the transportation infrastructure segment, L&T bagged a major add-on order from an existing client in Qatar for an Expressway.

L&T also bagged some add-on orders from some existing projects in the water and effluent treatment and metallurgical and material handling businesses.

At 14:00 IST, shares of L&T were trading at Rs 1,285.70 on the Bombay Stock Exchange, down over 2%.
