L&T bags Rs 3,560-cr contracts
Larsen & Toubro has bagged Rs 3,560 crore worth of orders to construct commercial and residential buildings across the country. One of the contracts, worth Rs 2,000 crore, has come from Kingston Properties.

Larsen & Toubro has bagged Rs 3,560 crore worth of orders to construct commercial and residential buildings across the country. One of the contracts, worth Rs 2,000 crore, has come from Kingston Properties.
L&T has to complete the project by 2012. The buildings and factories business unit of L&T’s construction division has secured another Rs 665 crore order from Cognizant Technology to construct their development centres in Chennai and Kolkata.
L&T has also bagged a Rs 187-crore order from ITC Hotels for their Grand Chola Hotel in Chennai. The company has secured a Rs 408-crore contract from ICICI Bank for constructing their office building in Hyderabad. The scope involves construction of 1.52 million sq ft area to house 600 rooms.
The scope involves construction of 4 million sq ft building area, having basement plus 16 floors. L&T’s ECC division has secured a Rs 300-crore order from CSJ Infrastructure for construction of a 3 million sq ft building in Chandigarh for development of malls, office space and hotel.
In the last nine months of the current financial year, the business unit has bagged contracts worth nearly Rs 12,000 crore, including that from the Mumbai International Airport (MIAL).
