L&T bags Rs 1,306 cr order across various segments in February

NEW DELHI: Engineering and construction major Larsen & Toubro today said it has bagged new orders valued at about Rs 1,306 crore across various business segments in February.

"The Power Transmission and Distribution division has secured new orders aggregating to Rs 514 crore. This includes a major order from Power Grid Corporation," the company said in a statement.

It is for the construction of double circuit transmission lines from Varanasi to Kanpur and Varanasi to Allahabad via Sarnath and Sasaram.

Besides, the Building and Factories division has secured new orders worth Rs 451 crore for construction of residential towers and for civil, structural and mechanical erection work for construction of a cement plant.

Besides, the Solar Division unit secured an order worth Rs 220 crore from a leading developer for construction of a 23 MW solar plant on engineering, procurement and construction basis in Rajasthan.

"In yet another development, the infrastructure division has secured new orders valued at Rs 121 crore from Kolkata Metro Rail for construction of a 2.7-km viaduct from Madhyamgram to Hridaypur, including a station building," it added.
