L&T bags Rs 1,000 cr-Rs 2,500 cr orders for power transmission and distribution jobs

Mumbai: Larsen & Toubro to has bagged orders in the range of Rs 1,000 crore to Rs 2,500 crore for power transmission and distribution jobs, the engineering major said on Tuesday.

The orders include international projects in Bangladesh, Nepal and Saudi Arabia. In India, L&T said it has won an order to design and construct a 50 megawatt solar photovoltaic plant in Tamil Nadu, and some additional jobs from ongoing projects.

In Bangladesh, L&T bagged a turnkey order for design, supply, installation and commissioning of power transmission infrastructure for the 800 mw Rupsha power plant. In Nepal, it received an order to build 220kV substations, while in Saudi Arabia, it bagged orders to build 380kV and 230kV transmission line corridors.
